Mr. Andrew Kiarie, Lecturer and Examiner at Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) and Mr. Sebastian Mwalili, a Marketing Officer from the same Institution conducted a public lecture for staff and studentsand sensitized them on the importance of staying relevant and having professional certifications in Procurement.
Mr. Kiarie, discussed the key trends key among them; Risk management in supply chain, talent shortage crisis and trends in regulated procurement and supplies management among many others.
KISM has partnered with KASNEB to offer Certified Procurement and Supply Professional of Kenya (CPSP-K) and Associate in Procurement and Supply of Kenya (APS-K) courses. The aim of the professional certifications is to bridge the gap between academia and practice. Mr. Mwalili, took the audience through the above professional courses, the objectives of the courses, entry requirements and the examinable units. He encouraged those in the Procurement field to take up the courses.
