This is to invite you to a Public Lecture on “Challenges and ‘the little known’ of mosquito nets”. The lecture will be held virtually on Tuesday, 14th March 2023, at 2.30pm.

The speaker will be Dr. Sichangi Kasili, lecturer in the department of Life Sciences and the Dean, School of Science and Computing.

Abstract

Mosquito nets (bednets) are used as vector control tools. They remain one of the major components in programmes fighting against malaria. However, their indiscriminate disposal may lead to environment-related challenges. These challenges, including potential human health concerns will be discussed.
